Having danced from the age of 2, since graduating from the University of Cambridge with a Master’s degree in Psychology, Joanna has become a fully registered dance teacher with the Associated Board of Dance (ABD).

She has over 20 years’ combined experience in Dance and Inclusive teaching, including training with StopGap Dance Company & CanDo Hub, amongst others.

 

In addition to her classes at Ability School of Dance, Joanna currently teaches with and choreographs for Louise Kate Dance, and is knowledgeable in Ballet, Tap, Modern/Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Creative and Rock’n’Roll dancing.

 

She's also previously tutored, cover-tutored and assisted in classes for DanceEast, notably ‘Springboard’ for individuals with additional needs, plus taught Musical Theatre for individuals with Down's Syndrome.

 

Joanna is a Qualified Autism Movement Therapist, and Dance for Parkinson’s practitioner.

Joanna holds current DBS, Insurance, Safeguarding and First Aid certificates (including paediatric, mental health & suicide), and is trained in ‘Safe and Effective Dance Practice’.
